Houston-Kansas City Trade: Montenegro for Fuchillo Tuesday, December 30th, 2025 Houston and Kansas City have agreed to a trade today. 20-year-old minor league 2B Justin Gonzalez, 24-year-old minor league RHP Freddy Montenegro, 21-year-old minor league CF Rob Sayer, 34-year-old 1B Jordan Ramos, 31-year-old minor league RHP Joe Hemingway, a 3rd round draft pick and a 7th round draft pick will go to the Royals. In exchange the Astros will receive 29-year-old LF Manny Fuchillo, 30-year-old minor league 2B Mike Grubb and $2,000,000 in cash. Montenegro's career stats include a 4-4 record, 96.1 innings, 51 strikeouts, and a 4.20 ERA. Looking at his career stats, Fuchillo is batting .313 and has totaled 285 home runs. |
