Hitting Streak Still Alive for Curry Sunday, August 22nd, 2027 Gilherme Curry continued his streak at Old Dominion Stadium today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Virginia first baseman was 1-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Black Bears were not as fortunate, losing 6-2 to the Miami Marlins. "Curry was hitting everything we threw at him," said Miami manager Jorge Solis. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Gilherme Curry grounded out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Marcos Franquez in the 9th. So far this season Curry has hit .308 with 13 home runs, 40 RBIs and scored 39 times. |
