Pittsburgh Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Sunday, September 7th, 2025 The Pittsburgh Pirates never had much playoff hope this season anyway, but now it's official -- the team has been mathematically eliminated from the postseason. The Pirates have missed the playoffs 23 times in their 45 years as a Skyline Baseball League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 3rd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2021. In the last 10 seasons, the Pirates have missed the playoffs 3 times. Pittsburgh last won the Skyline Cup Series in 2008. |
