Cardinals Mathematically Out of Playoffs Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025 Not even the most diehard St. Louis Cardinals fan thought the team had much chance at the playoffs this year. But now even the faintest hopes have been put to rest, as the Cardinals were mathematically eliminated from the postseason hunt today. St. Louis last appeared in the postseason in 2017. This is their 8th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 30 times in their 45-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Cardinals have missed the playoffs 7 times. |
