Rowdy Players Suspended by League

John Shook of the Detroit Tigers and Tony Coto of the Los Angeles Dodgers received notification from the league commissioner's office that they had been suspended for 4 and 8 games respectively for their part in the on-field ruckus in a recent game at Comerica Park.

Looking at his season stats, Shook has compiled a .277 batting average and a .346 on-base percentage, while hitting 2 home runs and driving in 4 runs.

This season Coto has made 17 relief appearances and saved 2 games. His record is 0-2 with 30 strikeouts in 31.1 innings with a 4.02 ERA.
