Toronto-Kansas City Deal Confirmed Monday, August 9th, 2027 The Toronto Blue Jays and Kansas City Royals have put the finishing touches on a deal that was weeks in the making. Toronto will part with 37-year-old minor league CF Tom Goldsmith, while the Royals have dealt 21-year-old minor league SS Josh Blanchard. "This one took a while to figure out," said Toronto general manager Amin Liaghati. "We must have gone back to the drawing board five or six times over the past few weeks. I'm glad we finally got the deal done. I think it is a good one for both clubs." Goldsmith has a career .234 average with 861 hits, 96 doubles, 9 triples, 186 home runs, 487 RBIs, and 603 runs scored to date. |
