San Francisco Giants Ship Acuna to Miami Monday, August 9th, 2027 The San Francisco Giants have parted ways with 21-year-old minor league RHP Lucien Taylor, 21-year-old minor league SS Ryan Mitchell, 23-year-old minor league RHP Josh Telfair, 32-year-old minor league 1B Jose Acuna and 28-year-old C Tony Gallegos in a trade with the Miami Marlins for 30-year-old RF Vinny Medina and $1,508,000 in cash. Giants general manager Matt Carlisle confirmed the deal in an announcement this morning. Miami will retain a portion of Medina's remaining contract. In 532 career games Acuna is hitting at a .269 pace with 504 hits with 119 doubles, 3 triples and 63 homers while scoring 233 runs and racking up 283 RBIs. He logged 168 walks and owns a .337 on-base percentage. A look at his season totals shows Medina with 19 home runs, .273 BA, .358 OBP, 67 RBIs and 62 runs scored. |
