Spiders Come up Short of Playoffs Wednesday, October 13th , 2049 Despite their best efforts to remain in the race, the playoff chase is over for the Cleveland Spiders. The club has now been mathematically eliminated from clinching a postseason berth. The Spiders have missed the playoffs 40 times in their 70 years as a Skyline Baseball League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 5th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2044. In the last 10 seasons, the Spiders have missed the playoffs 4 times. Cleveland last won the Skyline Championship Series in 2017. |
