5-Hit Game for Paterson Saturday, October 1st , 2039 It was a sensational day at the plate for Teddy Paterson as he led the charge to a 10-9 win over the Blue Jays. The Detroit left fielder was pure misery for the Toronto pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Paterson put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Josh Wooden, manager for the Blue Jays, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Teddy Paterson doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run triple in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.
