Bamba Keeps Hit Streak Alive Wednesday, October 4th , 2045 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Anastacio Bamba did it again, bashing 2 hits in the contest at The Sparrow's Nest today. For the last 20 games in a row, the 25-year-old second baseman has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Virginia Black Bears beat the Miami Marlins 1-0 today. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Bamba told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Virginia clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Anastacio Bamba grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th. Presently Bamba is batting .366 with 52 hits and no home runs. He has knocked in 13 runs and scored 25 times. |
