Hit Streak Over, Blue Jays Stop Winston Monday, August 27th , 2029 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Ryan Winston as he saw his 21-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 6 at-bats at the hands of the Toronto Blue Jays. It wasn't all bad for the 27-year-old center fielder and the Montreal Expos however, as they defeated Toronto 5-4 at Olympic Stadium. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Winston laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." On the season, Winston is batting .312 with 7 home runs and 43 RBIs. He has played in 92 games. |
