Pittsburgh's Medina Sidelined for Season Saturday, July 21st , 2035 Mike Medina of the Pirates just might have to call it quits for the season. The 28-year-old Pittsburgh reliever received a possible season-ending injury against the Colorado Rockies recently at Coors Field. Medina suffered shoulder inflammation while throwing a pitch. The Pirates medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 7-8 months. In 27 relief appearances in 2035, Medina has nailed down the victory 1 times for his club.
