Royals-Brewers Trade Announced Monday, June 4th , 2035 It likely won't turn either team into an instant contender or provide a huge franchise shakeup, but the Kansas City Royals and Milwaukee Brewers finalized a trade today. Kansas City will send 33-year old LF Juan Perez and $1 in cash to the Brewers, while the Royals will receive 32-year old LF Larry MacDonald. "We think this is a deal that will help out both teams and we're glad to get it done," Royals general manager Matt Kramer said. The trade is expected to be officially completed later today with the players joining their new ballclubs by the end of the day. Milwaukee will retain a portion of MacDonald's remaining contract. So far this year Perez is batting .200 with 1 home run. This season MacDonald is batting at a .194 clip with 1 home run and 3 RBIs. |
