Rangers Trade Taylor to Indians for Saavedra Monday, May 28th , 2035 Fans in Texas woke up this morning to learn that their team had traded 30-year old LHP Marc Taylor, 19-year old minor league LHP Romolo Oesterling, and $1 in cash to the Cleveland Indians. In return, the Rangers will receive 24-year old LHP Nikolai Flynn and 24-year old RHP Kiki Saavedra. In his career Taylor has a 18-27 won-lost record with a 3.97 ERA. In 146 games he has recorded 16 saves, and the 30-year-old has 418 strikeouts in 444.2 innings. This year Saavedra has 7 saves. In 15 relief appearances he has tossed 18.1 innings, fanned 14 and given up 8 walks with a 2-4 record. The Texas reliever has recorded a 6.38 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .320 when he is on the mound. |
