Injury Forces Sam Mahler Out Wednesday, May 2nd , 2035 After injuring himself, Hops reliever Sam Mahler headed straight to the hospital. He was removed from the game as a precaution after throwing a pitch, and the team's worst fears were confirmed when it turned out to be a little more serious. Mahler will miss at least 2 months with back spasms. To date in the season, Mahler is 2-0 with 15 relief appearances and 4 saves.
