League Punishes Pair for Fighting

Jason Claar of Texas and Craig Pearson of Milwaukee were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Claar will have to miss 4 games for his part in the brawl, while Pearson was given 6 games. League officials announced their suspensions today.

Claar is batting at a .222 pace this season, picking up 100 hits in 450 at-bats with 27 home runs, 72 RBIs and 60 runs scored.

To date this season Pearson is 9-11 with 24 starts and an ERA of 4.41 with 89 strikeouts in 159.1 innings.
