Baltimore's Munoz Will Miss Season Tuesday, August 16th, 2022 A blow for Willie Munoz today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 8-9 months with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. Munoz suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Baltimore Orioles are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Munoz's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. So far this year Munoz has made 10 starts, tossed 89.1 innings, struck out 56 batters and walked 31. His record is 4-5 with a 4.03 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .261 batting average. |
