Mets Weber Lost for Year Sunday, September 28th , 2042 Johnny Weber of the Mets just might have to call it quits for the season. The 28-year-old New York starting pitcher received a possible season-ending injury against the Milwaukee Brewers recently at Citi Field. Weber suffered bone chips in his elbow while throwing a pitch. The Mets medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 6 months. Weber has made 4 starts this season, posting 4 wins and 7 losses. Opposing clubs are batting .261 against him and he has 98 strikeouts in 101.1 innings with a 3.91 ERA. |
