Pirates Advance to Regional Championship Series Thursday, October 25th , 2046 The Pittsburgh Pirates clubhouse was filled with glee and celebration tonight, while the Toronto Blue Jays room was filled with despair and sadness after the Divisional Series concluded. "Someone's got to win and someone's got to lose, we're just glad we're on the good end of it tonight and can enjoy this," said Valentin Suárez, who was named MVP for a strong series of offensive performance. Pittsburgh won the final game by a 6-5 count at Rogers Centre and the series 4-1. Toronto manager Sergio Brito was simple and to-the-point in his assessment of the series. "They were the better team and deserve to move on," he said. For the series, Suárez hit .471 with a .526 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 5 runs.
