Hit Streak Now at 20 for Alberto Sunday, August 21st , 2044 The hot bat of Padres third baseman Everson Alberto continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 20 games after he went 2-for-4 in today's 3-0 loss to the Falcons at Savemart Center. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Everson Alberto singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Looking at his present stats, Alberto has compiled a .312 batting average in 105 games with a .391 on-base percentage, while hitting 19 home runs and driving in 57 runs. |
