Kansas City Ships to Philadelphia Monday, June 17th, 2019 The Royals and Phillies announced a deal that was completed today. Kansas City sent a 3rd round draft pick to Philadelphia for 27-year-old RHP Matt Gardner. Both teams appear happy with the outcome of the trade. The general managers told the Baseball News Network they felt the swap was beneficial for all parties involved. This season to date Gardner has a record of 5 wins and 5 losses with a 4.56 ERA, has appeared in 14 games and struck out 74 in 81 innings. |
