Hot Bat Cooled, Wood Hitless Against Dodgers Sunday, June 16th, 2019 Milwaukee Brewers left fielder Ryan Wood finally met his Waterloo. A 24-game hitting spree is now history after Wood was unable to make anything happen in 5 at-bats today against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Fortunately for Wood and the Brewers, the rest of his team had enough in their bats to win the game 9-8. "We're a true team here," he said. "For 24 games I've been able to contribute, but I always believed these guys would take care of things if I couldn't some day." To date this season Wood is hitting .338 with 20 home runs. |
