Injury Setback for Phillies Macias
Wednesday, June 12th, 2019
Rosman Macias is hurting again, just a few days into his treatment for elbow inflammation. Apparently the injury worsened, so the Phillies sent the 30-year-old reliever back to the doctors for reexamination. Macias told them that the pain had gotten much worse in recent days. It was confirmed that the injury was indeed much more severe that first thought. He was sent to a specialist, who felt that treatment would be longer than first diagnosed. Macias will now miss a minimum of 5 days.

This season Macias has been credited with no saves. In 6 relief appearances and 10.2 innings he has a 2-0 won-lost mark, a 4.22 ERA and 6 strikeouts.
