Minnesota Trades McCurry for Los Angeles's Wiseman Monday, June 3rd, 2019 It came down to the last hour of a self-imposed trade deadline, but the Minnesota Twins and Los Angeles Dodgers finally came to an agreement on a trade that had been rumored for weeks. The trade sends Minnesota's 30-year-old RHP Mike McCurry to Los Angeles in a swap for 22-year-old minor league CF John Wiseman. Both GMs seemed relieved that the deal had been completed with one stating, "We had to set a deadline to get it done." The players are expected to report to their new teams by tomorrow. Minnesota will retain a portion of McCurry's remaining contract. This year McCurry has collected 4 saves in 16 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 0-2 won-lost mark with a 4.11 ERA and fanned 24 batters in 15.1 innings. Opponents are hitting him at a .292 clip in 2019. |
