Atlanta Braves Ship Helton to Arizona Monday, June 3rd, 2019 Trade winds have been blowing through Atlanta. This time, a deal has materialized between the Braves and Diamondbacks. According to sources inside the organization, Atlanta will ship 21-year-old minor league LF Ben Cardenas, 31-year-old RHP Danny Helton and a 6th round draft pick to Arizona for 29-year-old RHP Dan Burke. Atlanta will retain a portion of Helton's remaining contract. This season Danny Helton has made 17 relief appearances, saving 0. His record is 1-0 with 23 strikeouts in 25.2 innings and a 5.96 ERA. His stats sheet for the year shows Burke has managed to hold opponents to a .182 average in 21 relief appearances, while putting up 0-1 record with 47 strikeouts and 8 walks in 30.1 innings. He has a 2.67 ERA with 2 saves. |
