Steve Mease to Miss 6 Weeks Friday, May 31st, 2019 Whether he wants it or not, Steve Mease of the San Diego Padres will be getting some R & R -- rest and relaxation. The left fielder was hurt in today's Padres-Astros game while running the bases. Team officials announced after the game that Mease had suffered a strained abdominal muscle and would be out of action for 6 weeks. This year Mease is hitting .343 with 17 home runs and 41 RBIs in 52 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .424 with 30 walks and 46 runs scored. |
