Tigers, Astros Agree to Swap Monday, May 27th, 2019 Detroit and Houston announced today in a joint press conference that 34-year-old SS Arturo Ramirez and 25-year-old minor league RF Jerry Caines will be going to the Astros in exchange for 29-year-old LF Willie Luna, 21-year-old minor league C Devin Camarano and 19-year-old minor league 1B Eddie Chamorro. "It'll be exciting to join a new organization," one player said. "Some of us could use a fresh start." The players have each passed physicals and are expected to report by day's end. Detroit will retain a portion of Ramirez's remaining contract. For the season Ramirez is currently batting .278 with 3 home runs and 17 RBIs. In 41 games he has reached base at a .350 rate and scored 20 runs to date. For the season Luna is batting .220 with 13 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 6 times and batted in 8. |
