Trade: Amaya for Everitt Monday, May 27th, 2019 It came down to the last hour of a self-imposed trade deadline, but the Arizona Diamondbacks and Miami Marlins finally came to an agreement on a trade that had been rumored for weeks. The trade sends Arizona's 29-year-old LF Sergio Amaya to Miami in a swap for 28-year-old 2B Eric Everitt, 19-year-old minor league RHP Ryan Ardary and 22-year-old minor league RHP Eric Morgan. Both GMs seemed relieved that the deal had been completed with one stating, "We had to set a deadline to get it done." The players are expected to report to their new teams by tomorrow. This season Amaya is batting .288 with 19 RBIs, 14 runs scored and 3 home runs. Everitt is currently batting .280 with 1 home run, 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored. He has 7 hits in 25 at-bats. |
