Athletics, Marlins Confirm Trade Monday, May 27th, 2019 Trade winds have been blowing through Oakland. This time, a deal has materialized between the Athletics and Marlins. According to sources inside the organization, Oakland will ship 27-year-old CF John Clarke and 33-year-old RHP Jeremy Dosh to Miami for 28-year-old 1B Rich Casas, 28-year-old LF Juan Bermudez, 23-year-old minor league RHP Elijah Sykes and 20-year-old minor league RHP Jose Guzman. Oakland will retain a portion of Dosh's remaining contract. This season Clarke has banged out 51 hits in 186 at-bats for a .274 average with 5 home runs. He is getting on base at a .351 pace and his totals also include 23 RBIs and 33 runs scored. This year Casas is hitting at a .335 pace with 6 home runs and 35 RBIs. He has played in 43 games and scored 24 times. |
