Kerns Has 20-Game Hitting Streak
Sunday, May 19th, 2019
David Kerns continued his streak at Globe Life Park in Arlington today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Chicago third baseman was 2-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Cubs were not as fortunate, losing 11-5 to the Texas Rangers.

"Kerns was hitting everything we threw at him," said Texas manager Juan Carrera. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win."
David Kerns doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and walked in the 9th.

This year Kerns is hitting .371, produced 22 RBIs and 2 home runs, scored 27 times and gotten on base at a .419 rate.
