Cleveland-Colorado Fight Results in Suspensions Sunday, July 17th, 2022 After an intense confrontation, both the Indians Mike Hook and the Rockies Julian Laye were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Cleveland-Colorado game. Mike Hook will miss 2 games, while Julian Laye was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Mike Hook commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Currently Hook is hitting .158 and has collected 1 home run, 2 RBIs and scored 3 times, while playing in 5 games. In 18 starts this season Laye has notched a 5-8 record and a 7.08 ERA. |
