Pelton Stops Washington
Tuesday, May 7th, 2019
Today was Troy Pelton's turn in the rotation for the Pittsburgh Pirates and he made the most of it, shutting out the Washington Nationals on 4 hits.

The 32-year-old right-hander led the Pirates to an easy 8-0 victory, allowing no walks and tallying 6 strikeouts.

"I hope we miss him next time," Washington manager Chris Weinert said. "Pelton certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."

This season to date Pelton has a record of 5 wins and 1 loss with a 3.22 ERA, has appeared in 7 games and struck out 35 in 44.2 innings.
