Becerra and King Swapped Monday, July 26th , 2038 36-year old SS Leon Becerra, 34-year old 2B Cedric Mondragon, 35-year old RF John Shortall, and $1 in cash will now be playing for the Kansas City Royals and 29-year old LF Pete King will be suiting up for the California Angels. The trade was announced today at a press conference by club officials. California will retain a portion of Mondragon's remaining contract. California will retain a portion of Shortall's remaining contract. Kansas City will retain a portion of King's remaining contract. During the current season Becerra is batting at a .247 clip with 4 home runs and 32 RBIs. He has played in 94 games and scored 36 times. In 89 games King is hitting .259 this season with 89 hits, 5 home runs, 42 RBIs, 31 walks, .319 OBP and has scored 39 runs. |
