Cardinals Mathematically Out of Playoffs Monday, September 10th , 2046 It has been a woeful season for the St. Louis Cardinals and now they have been officially eliminated from playoff contention. "You always need some things to break your way to get into the playoffs," said manager Jorge Baeza. "And nothing broke our way this year." This is the club's 2nd playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2044. In total, the Cardinals have missed the playoffs 48 times in their 67-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Cardinals have missed the playoffs 6 times. |
