Chicago, Seattle Close Deal Monday, July 19th , 2038 The rumor has been out there for a while now and today it was made official. The Chicago Cubs have sent 25-year old RHP Brent Mauldin, 29-year old 1B Marcos Herrera, 28-year old LF Miguel Saenz, and $1 in cash to the Seattle Mariners for 29-year old LHP Wilson Hernandez. Thus far this season, Mauldin has worked 25.2 innings with 28 strikeouts en route to a 1-3 record and a 10.52 ERA. This season Hernandez has gone 6-4 with an ERA of 3.21, posting 129 strikeouts in 101 innings. |
