Injury Setback for Nationals Williams Thursday, June 30th, 2022 The Washington Nationals received some bad news when the team's medical staff announced that Stephon Williams would miss even more time than had previously been expected. Williams, who is currently out with a finger blister, was evaluated by doctors yesterday and tests showed that the injury was not healing as quickly as they expected. Instead, the 36-year-old starting pitcher will have to spend another one week in treatment. Over the season Williams has thrown 72 innings and dished out 71 strikeouts with a 2-3 mark and a 3.88 ERA. |
