Chicago, Boston Deal Made Monday, August 4th , 2042 It's being reported in the Chicago press that the White Sox have traded 26-year old minor league RHP Sidney Castro, 24-year old minor league RHP Mateo Cruz, 21-year old RF Inal Yankov, and 23-year old RHP Zach Wright to the Boston Red Sox for 28-year old RHP Esteban Benavides. However, there is no confirmation by the two ball clubs. Chicago will retain a portion of Cruz's remaining contract. Boston will retain a portion of Benavides's remaining contract. This season Benavides has picked up 2 saves and posted a 5-0 record with a 2.53 ERA. He has 48 relief appearances, tossed 53.1 innings and struck out 73. |
