Injury Setback for Red Sox Vander Mark Tuesday, August 21st , 2046 Verrell Vander Mark's return to the Boston Red Sox has been delayed. The 27-year-old right fielder has been in treatment for a knee contusion and was responding well until he suffered sharp pains during a light workout. Upon examination by team doctors they reported that there had been further damage and Vander Mark will not be back as originally diagnosed. He will now be out at least 4 days. So far this season Vander Mark has gotten 124 hits in 403 at-bats for a .308 batting average with 24 home runs. His stats include 66 RBIs and 65 runs scored. He has played in 117 games. |
