DTD Injury Puts Baum Out of Lineup Saturday, September 5th , 2054 Is Robbie Baum going to tough it out and play through an injury? We'll get the chance to find out 4 weeks as the outstanding Virginia catcher attempts to shrug off knee tendinitis he sustained running the bases against the Detroit Tigers. Whether management lets him play or handles him with kid gloves will depend mostly on how Baum feels on a day-to-day basis. But there's little doubt that the Virginia Black Bears will be happy for the talented player to return at full strength as soon as possible. This year, Baum has hit at a .248 clip with 31 hits, 8 home runs, 20 RBIs and 21 runs scored. |
