Maldonado Stretches Hit String to 20 Tuesday, May 18th , 2038 Chris Maldonado's bat has been smoking lately, and it continued today as he went 2-for-4 in a 12-0 Toronto Blue Jays triumph over the Virginia Black Bears at Old Dominion Stadium. The 29-year-old right fielder has now hit safely in 20 consecutive games for the Blue Jays. Chris Maldonado grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th and hit a three-run home run off Sebastion Lepe in the 6th. So far in 2038 Maldonado is batting .318 with 4 home runs, 19 RBIs and 17 runs scored. He has 48 hits in 151 at-bats and a .346 OBP. |
