Royals-Yankees Deal: Hitchcock for Storti Monday, June 21st , 2032 It took some time to iron out the details, but the Royals and Yankees have agreed to a swap. New York will get 31-year old LF Danny Hitchcock, 34-year old RHP Ricky Mast, and a 7th round draft pick with Kansas City receiving 34-year old LHP Tom Storti in return. A source close to the trade talks said the two clubs were initially looking to make a bigger deal, but discussions broke off late last night. The two sides reconvened early today and eventually settled on this deal. A look at his current stats shows Hitchcock with a .180 average, 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and 13 runs scored. He has played in 44 games. This season in 10 starts Tom Storti has a record of 3-2 with 58 strikeouts in 64.1 innings and a 4.48 ERA. |
