Injury Setback for White Sox Micken Saturday, June 5th , 2032 "It's worse than we thought." That was the news from the White Sox clubhouse today as it was learned that reliever Byron Micken will be out for an added 5 days as a result of a recent injury. His treatment for a sore back will have to be extended. Initially it didn't seem the injury was a major concern, but the Chicago reliever told team trainers of some discomfort yesterday morning, and upon examination it was determined to be a more serious injury. "We'd rather take this thing slowly and make sure Byron gets back onto the field healthy," said the team's head trainer. This season Micken has no saves in 20 relief appearances with a 1-2 record and 5.91 ERA. |
