EAST Star of the Week Picked Monday, May 20th , 2030 His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing Joe Sparrow was rewarded with the Eastern Region Player of the Week honors. The scrappy Virginia Black Bears center fielder hit .565 while collecting 13 hits in 23 at-bats, 5 home runs and 10 RBIs. Sparrow has collected 45 hits for the Black Bears this year, 11 of them home runs. He has also netted 31 RBIs and scored 26 runs while batting .287. |
