League Suspends Rosario and Somers for Fisticuffs Saturday, May 27th , 2028 After an intense confrontation, both the Brewers Jose Rosario and the Angels Ted Somers were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Milwaukee-California game. Jose Rosario will miss 4 games, while Ted Somers was suspended for 9 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Jose Rosario commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." For the year Rosario is batting .260 with 1 home run, 18 RBIs and 10 runs scored. Checking out his stats for the year, Somers has racked up 4 wins and 4 losses in 10 starts, 3.35 ERA and struck out 74 batters in 53.2 innings. |
