Wells Lifts Flying Tigers to 7-3 Triumph
|
Getting a good performance from center fielder Kyle Wells, the Medford Flying Tigers defeated the Wenatchee Chiefs, 7-3. Wells went 4 for 5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Flying Tigers. Gavin Radcliffe picked up the win, lifting his record to 4-1 on the season. He struck out 6 and walked 3 in 6.1 innings, while yielding 3 runs. The 30-13 Flying Tigers have won 11 games in a row.
With Medford trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the third, Wells hit a fastball from Yuniesky Miraz for a 3-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Flying Tigers ahead, 4-2.
"I put some good swings on the ball tonight," said Wells.
