Emeralds Down Cavalry, 10-9
The Eugene Emeralds and New Westminster Cavalry put on quite a show.

Gregory Piechota was the difference-maker for the Eugene Emeralds in what turned into a shootout with the New Westminster Cavalry. Piechota went 4-for-5 in the 10-9 Emeralds win. Eugene is now 20-37.

The Emeralds procured the win, in large part because of first baseman Kiefer Richardson. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.

"We had a chance to win," said New Westminster manager Cesar Galdos, "but we didn't get it done."
