Tri-City Downs Wenatchee, 4-0
|
Tri-City used a superb performance from starting pitcher Ryan Estreola to down the Wenatchee Chiefs, 4-0. Estreola got the win, improving to 1-2. He gave up 4 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs. Tri-City sits in last place in the Northwest League North Division at 8-34.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Tim Shirling? The Tri-City center fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Dust Devils on top, 1-0. For the game, Shirling had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"I feel honored to be a part of this team," said Shirling.
