Salasar Leads Cavalry to 8-1 Win Over Chiefs
|
Led by Alonzo Salasar, the New Westminster Cavalry downed the Wenatchee Chiefs, 8-1. Salasar was 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Cavalry. The Cavalry sport a record of 16-25.
Salasar contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for New Westminster in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Salasar took a fastball from Skyler Forbes and stroked the home run to left-center. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Cavalry to leap in front, 4-1.
"I was able to square up some pitches," said Salasar.
