Rafters Defeat Pippins, 4-3
The Bend Rafters beat the Yakima Valley Pippins, 4-3, in 12 innings. Bend pitcher and Kalispell, Montana, native Mason Stevens led the way. Erik Lopez snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-0 on the season. Santiago Bobadilla suffered the loss. At 26-15, the Rafters claim second place in the Northwest League South Division.

The Rafters got a clutch hit from second baseman Jim Tarket. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Rafters.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Stevens said.
