In a well-pitched game between the Spokane Indians and the Boise Hawks, pitcher Newton Willingham was fantastic. The Spokane right-hander helped his team secure the win, 2-0. The 4th-place Indians bumped their record to 24-15.
Yorly Iglesias, the Spokane first baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth inning to make the score 2-0, Indians. For the game, Iglesias was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk.
"Tough win," said Iglesias. "We had to earn it."
